Trend News: Hygge November 16 2016
There's one word that we keep seeing pop up this season time and time again and that's 'hygge' (pronounced 'hoo-ga'). Hygge isn't so much a 'thing' as a way of life, a lifestyle, a feeling. Confused? Let us explain...
Hygge, which originates from Denmark (named the happiest nation in the world) is all about creating a warm, cozy atmosphere and enjoying the good things in life, with people you care about. Lighting some relaxing candles or having a long soak in a hot bath is hygge. Snuggling up under a blanket with a good book is hygge. Sipping a mug of hot chocolate in front of an open fire with your family is hygge. Inviting loved ones round for drinks or a home-cooked dinner is hygge. Long walks along the beach with friends is hygge.
