Heart Wood | Dulux Colour of the Year 2018

This week, Dulux announced Heart Wood as their Colour of the Year for 2018. The dusky mauve grey is described by Dulux as a "warm neutral with a hint of heather".

The calming hue reminds us of hazy morning walks in the countryside (possibly due to that 'hint of heather') and works especially well in a living room or bedroom, to create a sophisticated but cosy retreat.

But the question is, what accessories do you pair with it? Personally we feel that Heart Wood works well against warming bronze, brass and natural shades - including materials such as wood and stone. It also sits well as a backdrop to a strong accent such as black, which works well as a contrast to the soft warming hue.
